Send to AI+ for Jira

Send Jira issue context to 21 AI coding and chat tools with one click. Click any tool from the issue sidebar to launch it with your issue summary, description, comments, and linked issues pre-loaded as a prompt.

Getting Started

  1. Install Send to AI+ from the Atlassian Marketplace

  2. Open any Jira issue

  3. Find the Send to AI panel in the issue sidebar

  4. Click any tool to send the issue context to it

How Tools Launch

  • Deeplink (Cursor, Windsurf, Conductor, Copilot) — opens the desktop app directly with the prompt pre-loaded

  • Web (v0, Bolt, Perplexity, Replit) — opens a browser tab with the prompt in the URL

  • Copy + Open (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Lovable, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral) — copies the prompt to your clipboard and opens the tool's website

  • CLI (Claude Code, Codex, Aider, Zed, Amp, OpenCode) — copies a ready-to-run terminal command to your clipboard

What's Included in the Prompt

  • Issue key and summary

  • Full description

  • Issue type, status, priority, and labels

  • Last 10 comments with author and date

  • Linked issues with relationship type and summary

Coding tools append: "Please implement the changes described in this issue."
Chat tools append: "Please analyze this issue and discuss the requirements, potential approaches, and any trade-offs to consider."

Customising Tool Order

  • Drag and drop tools to reorder them

  • Your order is saved per user and persists across sessions

  • Click the reset button to restore the default order

Data & Privacy

  • Read-only — the app never modifies your Jira issues or data

  • No data is sent automatically — issue context only leaves Jira when you explicitly click a tool

  • No external API calls — the app passes data to your browser or clipboard, not to AI services directly

  • Only your tool order preference is stored, in Atlassian Forge's secure storage

  • No data is sent to third-party servers by the app

Troubleshooting

Deeplink tool copies a link instead of opening the app The desktop app may not be installed. Install the app and try again.

Prompt seems truncated Web-based tools have shorter URL limits (2,000 characters). Use a copy+open or CLI tool for the full prompt.

Panel doesn't load Refresh the page. If the issue persists, reinstall the app.
