Power BI Agent+ for Jira

Connect Power BI to Jira through an AI-powered Rovo agent. Ask questions about Power BI workspaces, reports, dashboards, datasets, pages, and refresh history, then view related Jira issue context using natural language.

Setup

1. In Jira, go to Apps in the sidebar and click Power BI Agent+

2. Click Connect Power BI Account

3. Authorize the app with your Microsoft account

4. Your Power BI workspace details will appear when connected

Power BI

• List workspaces visible to you

• Browse reports and report pages

• View dashboards and datasets

• Check dataset refresh history

Jira

• Search issues with JQL

• View issue details, comments, remote links, and transitions

• Check projects, priorities, changelogs, and watchers

• Find issues assigned to you or recently updated

Requirements

• Jira Cloud with Rovo enabled

• Microsoft account with access to the relevant Power BI workspaces, reports, or datasets

Data & Privacy

• Read-only - the app never modifies your Power BI or Jira data

• OAuth tokens are stored encrypted in Atlassian Forge secure storage

• You can disconnect at any time from the app settings page

• Contact details and sensitive personal fields are redacted where possible

• No data is sent to third-party servers

Troubleshooting

"Not connected" error in Rovo chat
Open the Power BI Agent+ settings page and connect your Microsoft account.

OAuth popup does not close after authorizing
Try disabling popup blockers for your Jira site and reconnect.

Agent does not respond or times out
Refresh the page and try again. If the issue persists, disconnect and reconnect your Microsoft account.
