MACRO Type /miro in the editor and select Miro+ in the dropdown.

AUTO EMBED Paste your shared Miro link directly into the editor.

JIRA

ISSUE Click the ellipsis dropdown at the top of an issue and select Miro (or Embeds)

DASHBOARD Edit a dashboard, click Add gadget, search for Miro and click Add

FAQs

I'm getting "invalid link" or a grey error screen

The pasted link is either broken, incorrect, has a permissions issue, or it’s a bug. Click the View Tutorial button and follow the visual guide to copy the link.

How do I edit the tab titles, colors and order?

Edit titles: double-click on the titles, change the text and press Enter.
Re-order tabs: drag and drop the tab titles.

Lefthand config sidebar (Jira: click top-right settings icon):

Delete tabs: click the X icon and then the red bin icon.
Change icons: search or view all and then select.
Change colors: click the color box and select a new color.

How do I access the configuration options in Jira?

Click the top-right settings icon next to the fullscreen icon.

The app didn't save anything I entered into it!

Jira: make sure to click the top-right Save button after making changes.

Confluence: click the bottom-right Save button in the macro editor.

Can I remove the tabs to have a single embed?

In Jira, no the tabs are necessary. In Confluence you can paste a shared link directly into the editor to autoconvert to a tab-less embed or you can edit the macro, select the Display tab and toggle off Tabs.

Note: you will only see the first tab item.

Why is data stored in a Confluence attachment file?

Atlassian has a tiny 32kB chunk storage limit for developers. In order to keep data within your instance and allow unlimited tabs/notes/whiteboards, we decided to store that data securely inside Confluence content attachments. These attachments are named like so: appsplus-tabs-data-m-CjeVCKip.json

Note: do not delete these attachments.

Copy-pasting the Confluence macro overwrites tabs

This is an Atlassian bug. Follow these steps to copy-paste the macro without overwriting the tab data:

Edit existing macro, click Export tab, enable the Tabs toggle and copy the data.
Insert a new macro, click Export tab, enable the Tabs toggle and paste the data.
Repeat for the Display configuration data if desired.

There are duplicate panels on a Jira issue

This is another Atlassian bug. It doesn’t make sense to have separate panels using valuable screen space when our apps make use of tabs and are cross-compatible.

If one of our apps is already visible: simply add a new tab then paste your link and save.
To hide duplicate panels: click the top-right triple dot and then Hide {App}
