  1. Click “Connect with Zoom” and authorize the app to view your recordings.

    1. Your recordings will be displayed in the sidebar. Search or filter by date range. Click to add or remove.

    2. Note: due to annoying Zoom limits you can only search within a 1-month date range and for recordings within the past 6 months.

  2. Paste one or more Zoom recording links into the textbox and click “Add”.

    1. Note: password-protected recordings cannot be added through this method.

How do I add the password to a recording?

For a better user experience we recommend removing passwords from your recordings (see above). If for whatever reason you wish to keep a password:

  1. Newly inserted recordings will check for password protection.

  2. If the recording is password protected the thumbnail will be black with a lock icon and text field.

  3. Check your email for the password, copy it, paste it into the textfield, hit enter, and save the macro.

  4. The password will display in the top-left of the video player popup. Copy-paste to unlock the recording.

How do I delete a recording?

  1. Click the “X” on the recording.

  2. Click the trashcan icon to confirm.

  3. Save the macro.

How to turn off or remove passwords on Zoom recordings?

  2. For individual past recordings:

    1. In your Zoom recordings list find the recording, click Share… and deselect the option Password protection.

Additional settings to turn off

Ensure these settings are also deselected:

  1. IP Address Access Control

  2. Only authenticated users can view cloud recordings

  3. Auto delete cloud recordings after days

I don’t see any recordings when connecting with Zoom

The cloud recordings feature is only available to Zoom Pro plans so you will first need to have a paid account and record some meetings to the cloud. Alternatively you can paste recording links in the editor.

Connecting with Zoom pulls in the wrong recording

In your Zoom recording settings dashboard there is the option to produce a variety of recording files for each meeting. We recommend only selecting the Record active speaker with shared screen option. When you connect with Zoom in the editor it will only return the largest recording by file size for each meeting (which is typically “active speaker with shared screen”).

Where is the data stored?

In building this app we went to great lengths to ensure that zero data is stored outside your Confluence instance. All recording links and recording passwords are accessible only to those with access to the Confluence page where you insert the macro. Also no access/refresh tokens are stored when connecting with Zoom.
